To further serve teachers and students, to broaden the international horizons of students, and to break the information barriers of international exchanges of teachers and students, Hujiang International Cultural Park of the International Affairs Office (IAO) has launched a series of service activities called See the World with “LI” -- Hujiang International Cultural Park Face-to-Face with You. On the afternoon of April 22, 2021, Hujiang International Cultural Park opened a Business School Special. Cai Hui, deputy director of the International Affairs Office, He Jianjia, deputy dean of Business School, Han Bing, director of the International Office of Business School, Li Wenqing, teacher of the Department of Accounting, Shi Jing, Yin Ying, Zhang Qian, Luo Ruijia, Liu Yuan, teachers of the International Affairs Office and the Hujiang Cultural Exchange Center, several chairmen of the departments, undergraduate students, and postgraduate students of Business School participated in the activity. Han Bing hosted the event.

First, He Jianjia expressed gratitude to the teachers of the International Affairs Office who came to Business School to carry out the promotional activities, and reviewed the past promotional activities and the history of international development of Business School. He proposed that the good development of international exchange programs will help more students to go abroad, which is conducive to the all-round development of students. Students can use this opportunity to learn more about exchange programs and related policies, and clarify the direction of future study and work.

Cai Hui briefly introduced the situation of the Cultural Exchange Center and recognized the outstanding students of Business School. She said that the International Affairs Office will continue to create high-quality projects, provide a better platform for students, and actively encourage students to seize every opportunity to build themselves into a person with an international perspective and critical thinking ability. Each cultural exchange center then introduced thematic activities and exchange projects.

Shi Jing from the German Cultural Exchange Center introduced the historical development of the center and the significance of its establishment, and showed the physical space layout of the center, and the featured activities and cooperation projects by multiple sets of photos and videos.

Yin Ying from the British Cultural Exchange Center introduced the center and its director Rose Oliver. Rose Oliver has won the twice Shanghai Magnolia Award, and has played an important role in the field of Sino-English cultural exchanges. The center often organized regular activities to improve student’s learning ability and career guidance, and special activities to help students experience British culture.

Zhang Qian from the American Cultural Exchange Center gave a detailed introduction to the center’s establishment, internal structure, project content, etc. She proposed that the various activities organized by the center, such as English corners, art exhibitions, and off-campus community activities, can improve student’s practical ability and deepen the Sino-US cultural exchanges.

Luo Ruijia from the Japan Cultural Exchange Center displayed the center’s Japanese language teaching, Japanese cultural experience, Japanese company job fairs, and related special activities. She also introduced in detail the content of the exchange programs in Japan and the registration date and method.

After the introduction of each cultural exchange center, Liu Yuan introduced the university-level exchange student programs, and the specific application process and the corresponding language requirements. She detailedly analyzed the program content in line with the professional characteristics of students of Business School, and provided pertinent suggestions for students who are interested in studying abroad.

Li Wenqing gave a detailed introduction to a school-level exchange program, the master’s degree program of School of Business-Camden, Rutgers University, America. Han Bing introduced the characteristics and advantages of a school-level exchange program, the double bachelor’s degree program of Brest Business School, France. She encouraged students to go abroad and enrich themselves in the limited campus time.

The participated teachers and students communicated and exchanged ideas about the international exchange projects, and teachers of the International Affairs Office actively answered questions for interested students. Holding the promotional activity was conducive to enhancing the sense of acquisition of all teachers and students by “micro-reforms” and “micro-services”, and was a positive thing for helping students broaden the international horizons, enhance the cross-cultural communication capabilities, and also promote the cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
